Med School Survival Guide was created 3 years ago as a means to release the most frustrating and trying moments in the health-professions via original music and song. Their growing list of originals like Face the Fire, Numbers, Strange Dreams, Patient Man, and Moral of the Story, seek not only describe the trials of providing care, but to help the creators and hopefully other physicians, health-professionals, and patients, navigate the medical field. This year the band will be playing several shows over the winter and spring seasons around Philadelphia before sending off two of their founding members to Psychiatry residencies. Alex Benson – Guitar, Flute, Vocals – 4th year medical student at Drexel University College of Medicine. Currently applying to psychiatry residencies with a future interest in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Jared Weiss – Guitar, Bass, Vocals – 4th year medical student at Drexel University College of Medicine. Currently applying to psychiatry residencies.
Wesley Goodman-Levy – Guitar, Bass, Vocals – 3rd year medical student at Drexel University College of Medicine. Preparing to take a year away from clinical work to complete his MPH. |
